<p>Hi,</p> <p>DXP 7.1 is certified for <a href="https://web.liferay.com/documents/14/21598941/Liferay+DXP+7.1+Compatibility+Matrix/9f9c917a-c620-427b-865d-5c4b4a00be85">MySQL 5.7</a>, not sure on 5.6 . Since its DXP, you can open a ticket with Liferay.</p> <p> </p> <p>Arun</p>

Your exception is a known issue of Liferay DXP: <a href="https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-59510">LPS-59510</a> - java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Data truncation on startup of Liferay on SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2008r2.<br /><br />The root cause of the issue is in SQL Server database schema that sometimes causes a data truncation.<br /><br />The LPS is private so you will not be able to see it.<br />You can ask for a solution to Liferay support or you can change to other database, error seems to be reproduced only in SQL Server.

Please post the full stacktrace.<br><br>Perhaps portal is working fine, but there is a unregistered PortalInstanceLifecycleListener that will cause trouble in one module</body></html>
