Upgrade JQuery within Liferay 7.2 GA1
Anyone have info on how to upgrade jquery from 3.3.1 to 3.5.1 within Liferay 7.2.0 GA1? Where is the jquery.js located in a liferay folder? Is it bundled with a frontend module? I can browse to the following jquery.js file in my local Liferay instance.
http://ipaddress/combo?browserId=ie&minifierType=js&languageId=en_US.../o/frontend-js-jquery-web/jquery/jquery.js
The /o/ URL gives a hint where it is.
I'm not sure it's advisable and would rather go for a full platform update. You're on an old version that has seen bugfixes on 7.2.x and newer releases. Some of them security related.
Note: In case anything in the platform relies on specific behavior of the jquery version bundled, you might introduce subtle bugs in your version, and make later upgrades even harder.
